Lead Operations Engineer - Voice

Lead Voice/Network Engineer - West Yorkshire - 3 Month Contract

We are currently looking for a talented senior voice engineer to join a leading IT services client on a contract basis.

You will be acting as technical lead and will be responsible for implementing change, upgrades and diagnosis as part of the network and voice team.

Key Skills

- Cisco CUCM experience (essential)
- Cisco UC Collaboration experience (Jabber, Expressway, etc) (desirable)
- Cisco UCCE experience (desirable)
- Experience of non-Cisco phone systems (desirable)
- Experience of ISDN and SIP-based systems
- Cisco CCNP Collaboration (or in progress)
- Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching (desirable)
- Any other qualifications (desirable)
- Strong discovery and documentation skills
- Networking and IP telephony skills in a complex environment
- Root cause analysis and low-level troubleshooting (e.g.

packet capture)
- Able to adhere to existing processes and procedures at all times
- Ability to identify and suggest improvements, and provide input into the team roadmap
- Comfortable with learning new skills and technologies as required
- Able to share technical knowledge and provide training to other IT staff.
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Occasional travel between locations will be required, with some overnight stays
- Any knowledge outside of Networks/Telephony (for troubleshooting purposes)
- Cross platform diagnosis skills using industry tools and techniques
- Hands-on experience of: Cisco Switches and Routers, Cisco Voice (CUCM)
- Working with other technical teams and technology experts
- Able to explain concepts clearly to a technical or non-technical audience
