Reactive Engineer

Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Reactive Engineer to join our team across the South East.

Working 45hrs between Monday and Sunday.

Reactive Engineer key responsibilities:



* Daily contact with the Reactive Maintenance Technicians.


* Frequent contact with the Engineering & Maintenance teams and managers.


* Frequent contact with the Asset Control Centre (ACC) and Horbury Parts Centre (HPC) for parts orders and deliveries.


* Responsible for leading all reactive maintenance and operation of the LFE assets as directed by the asset optimisation team, to the standard set and agreed by the Engineering & Maintenance team.


* Responsible for leading and managing a small team of Reactive Maintenance Technicians, managing their contracted hours, holidays, development and conducting performance appraisal/training reviews.


* Provide reactive fault-finding and troubleshooting skills to the LFE assets.


* Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with best practice, safely, economically and meeting environmental obligations.


* Train, coach and assess competency of LFE Operational and Engineering & Maintenance teams as per company policy and procedures.


* Support and assist with the development of planned preventative maintenance plans (PPM's).


* Provide remote and direct (at the ACC) technical support to the Asset Analysts.


* Provide assistance where necessary, out of hours, this can include evenings and weekends.


The ideal Reactive Engineer:



* Practical experience of engine, plant process maintenance and diagnostics.


* Electrical and electronic experience in low voltage systems.


* Planned preventative maintenance of large reciprocating powergen assets.


* Minimum of 2 years hands on experience of the operation and maintenance of equipment relevant to role.


* City & Guilds (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.


In return for your hard work as a Reactive Engineer, you can expect to receive a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum plus a range of benefits.
