RGN - Registered General Nurse - Nursing Home

RGN - Registered General Nurse - Nursing Home - Worcestershire, West Midlands - Up to £16 per hour

Working Hours: 1 Night per week (12 hours)

Shift pattern: Friday, Saturday or Sunday

I am currently looking for an experienced Registered General Nurse ( RGN ) to join this elderly nursing home just outside of Worcestershire, West Midlands.

As an RGN on nights you will be working as nurse in charge and will be required to provide clinical leadership to other members of the healthcare team.

You will have experience working within a similar setting and be passionate about elderly and dementia care.

The home itself provides care for adults over the age of 65 who have age related nursing needs such as dementia, physical disabilities and other mental health conditions.

You will be expected to have an in depth knowledge and understanding of issues within your profession and be able to demonstrate your CPD.

The role of the Registered General Nurse ( RGN ) is:

  • Deliver the highest standards of care with dignity and respect

  • Assessing the needs of each resident and delivering the very best clinical care to a high standard

  • Monitor the wellbeing of residents and administer prescribed medications accordance to policy

  • Comply with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines

  • Ensure all relevant policies and procedures are read, understood are adhered to by all staff

  • Provide clinical leadership & supervision for the healthcare staff

  • Participate in the induction and training of all new staff on the unit

  • Supervise and monitor standards of care and take appropriate action to improve standards when required

  • Ensure all clinical documentation is well maintained and filed in the appropriate places

As a Registered General Nurse ( RGN ) you will have:

  • Experience in a similar setting and preferably palliative and dementia care knowledge

  • A general nursing qualification ( RGN )

  • Current and valid registration with the NMC

  • The legal right to work in the UK
