JUNIOR DEVELOPER

Our client is a marketing technology company.

Their technology enables their clients to deliver their marketing ideas with minimal impact on their development resource.

They are looking for a Junior Developer with strong, well-rounded skills. You will have a passion for software development and be able to demonstrate experience of developing web applications/technologies.

Any experience or interest in mobile development is a welcome bonus. 

You will be a crucial part of their development team.

Your primary role will be coding the JavaScript-based plugins by which their campaigns are delivered.

You will be involved in projects from concept to completion.

You will work closely with members of their consulting team and with other members of the development team.

You will communicate directly with client developers throughout the design and implementation of their marketing campaigns. 

As a Junior Developer you will work as part of the growing, Birmingham-based Development team to create innovative and elegant solutions for our core platform.

These are the tools that are currently used and with which you would work:
•    Golang
•    Node.js
•    PostgreSQL
•    Bash
•    Redis

Technical Requirements:

You will have experience with:
•    JavaScript
•    Writing apps/functionality in vanilla JavaScript
•    Node.js
•    Up-to-date Javascript: ES6/ES2016/ES.next
•    Delivering cross browser compatible HTML, JavaScript and CSS (ideally back to IE9)
•    SQL (ideally PostgreSQL)
•    Git and knowledge of popular workflows
•    contributing to/maintaining Open Source projects (issue creation/management, pull requests)

You will demonstrate:
•    a pragmatic approach to each solution, experience in evaluating possible language/stack and making informed technology decisions;
•    experience working in a team;
•    experience working independently; and
•    experience working with client developers.
