Location: London, South East and surrounding Counties

Salary: £34,000

 

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer on behalf of our clients.

As Service engineer you will report to the Service Supervisor for the day to day planned preventative maintenance services, unplanned reactive maintenance and scheduled repairs to include replacements, upgrades or any additional works on the DRUPS and associated equipment.



This role would suit ex-Military personnel however, candidates from all backgrounds will be considered.



 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         To carry out all planned preventative maintenance on all DRUPS associated plant and equipment on customer’s sites, covering all of the UK, Ireland and overseas as required.



·         Building strong professional relationships with all clients and suppliers.

·         Complete and review work in accordance with environmental and regular risk assessment and method statements.



·         Provide emergency 365/24/7 call out cover as part of the service team call out rota, carrying out any unplanned maintenance as required and reporting it to the Service Supervisor.

·         Carry out any scheduled replacement, upgrades or additional works on the DRUPS and associated plant and equipment.

·         Assist the project and technical team on installations, commissioning and testing of new DRUPS and associated plant and equipment.



·         Complete all documentation accurately to enable your works and recommendations to be actioned including service visit reports, service sheets and departmental documentation.

·         Liaise with the service and engineering teams to review data from client sites and gain additional technical support when required.

·         To carry out all health, safety and environmental instructions and review current practices to maintain the guidelines and report any findings to the Service Supervisor or HSQE manager or technical team.



Skills and Responsibilities:

·         Engineering qualification in relevant electrical or mechanic field.



·         Knowledge of UPS, Diesel generators and Diesel rotary uninterruptible power supply devices (DRUPS)

·         To have served a recognised apprenticeship or training in specialised field.

·         To have worked within an industry environment to understand the health and safety regulations applied to the position.

·         Good computer skills and understand company software packages.

·         Good communication skills both written and verbal.
