Bookkeeper/Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a Head Office team as Finance Manager / Book Keeper within my clients Evesham site.


The successful applicant will report to the Director and the role is expected to develop into a senior position.



My client have been family owned for over 9 years and proudly supply fresh healthy produce to major retailers throughout the UK.

They are expanding from a small to medium size company, because you will know everything about the working of the organisation, there is the possibility of potential career progression.


They are looking for someone that can operate with a great deal of autonomy and doesn't require hand holding.



The main purpose and responsibilities are:
Bookkeeping
All aspects of bookkeeping including entry and maintenance of purchase ledger
Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements monthly
Sales Ledger
Raising Invoices and purchase orders and forwarding to suppliers / customers
Reconciliations and closure of sales and purchase ledgers at month end
Daily Reconciliation of bank statements
Monthly Reconciliation of company credit cards
Reconciliation of Supplier/Customer Statements
Credit Control
Pay Supplier in a timely manner
Answering Queries via telephone and e-mail
Vat Returns
Ensure details are up to date for all customers / suppliers
Prepare monthly Managements accounts and reports
Issuing and balancing petty cash
Preparation of monthly balance sheet
Update fixed asset register
Remain Confidentiality of all information in department
Drive continuous improvement in relevant areas to ensure processes are lean
General administrative tasks to support the team/director/owners
Finance duties
Daily cashflow management and forecasting
Cash management - Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
Raising Finance
Production of monthly production costing reports
Everyday check on costs, credit transactions
Comparison of actual costs with budget costs
Break Even Analysis
Input data on excel spreadsheet.

Recording cash movement.
Maintain banking relationships
Assist in determining the company's proper capital structure

Requirements;
Good Working Knowledge of sage 50 accounts essential
Own Transport
Advanced Microsoft, outlook, excel and word.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Man management and development desirable
Ability to work within a team and individually
