Site Fulfillment & Production Leader

Site Fulfilment & Production Leader, Nr Southampton (Hampshire), up to £85,000 + Car Allowance + Package


My client is a leading name in the Aerospace/Aviation Industry and is currently seeking to make a senior hire for a Site Fulfilment & Production Leader.


Reporting into Exec level you will Manage and Lead a team of 20 Production Planners and Fulfilment Specialists.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading all fulfilment and production responsibilities to support the site.

As part of the senior leadership team you will create, lead and present product/program strategies to executive leaders.

You will be working collaboratively with Senior Operations Leaders and Program Managers to optimize production flow and product quality to meet customer demands.

You will also lead and coach a team of senior planning & fulfilment specialists.

As Site Production Planning Leader, you will be required to work in a matrix environment and will be involved in complex decision making.


As part of the Manufacturing Operations team you will take ownership of the following responsibilities:


-Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.
-Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs.
-Work closely with Senior Operations Leaders to optimize the flow and constraint management process improvements and minimize WIP inventory.
-Work on complex technological solutions.
-Solve issues and develop new solutions require usage of methods and approaches with some precedence.
-Collaborate with the network of experts and in project teams.
-Present product / program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
-Input and influence decisions within own discipline and area.
-Communicate recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations.
-Involved in complex decision making sometimes with external parties.
-Manage roll out of the Velocity Scheduling system using the theory of constraints principles across the business following its trial period.
-Liaise closely with On-site customer representatives and the internal program management team to ensure customer schedules are managed and prioritized within the overall site schedule.

Skills/Experience Required:


-A proven background in a similar role
-Preferably within the Aerospace/Avionics Industry (other Engineering industries are considered)
-Strong background in Materials Planning and Materials Management
-Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Operations
