This is a specialist role within the team, with shared accountability for ensuring systems and network availability for all system users, and performing necessary maintenance to support system and network availability.

The System Administrator will advise other support team members to plan, coordinate, and implement system and network security measures.

The technical support engineer will take a key role in supporting the IT infrastructure and provide your expertise and daily support.

You will ensure systems and network availability for all users and perform maintenance when necessary to support the system.

You will work with like minded individuals in your team to plan, coordinate and implement network security measures.

You will have the opportunity to mentor junior IT support members of the team and assist team members in complex issues.

Skills Required

Windows Server
VMware or VSphere
Active Directory
Networking (LAN/WAN)

The Role

Testing applications for environmental compatibility;
Be at the forefront of all Server/Network projects feeding information to the unit from 1st stage to completion;
Serve as technical resource to the unit;
Maintaining and updating systems and databases within prescribed guidelines;
Acting as a liaison for the computing operation, communicating, resolving, and/or initiating the resolution of problems and concerns;
Working with hardware vendors to resolve equipment failures/problems;
Mentoring junior members of the team on System and Network administration, including assisting team members in more complex IT HelpDesk issues where required.
