Business Support Officer

Business Support Officer (Slough)

Corus Consultancy are looking for a Business Support Officer for one of our Clients in Slough.

We have an amazing opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and efficient.

The position is temporary with the possibility to go permanent for the right candidate, with an immediate start.

Working hours will be 09.00- 17.00.

The hourly rate is £10.81

What you will be doing?

The successful individual will be assisting the Health and Safety Team, with providing confidential administrative support, this will include answering telephone enquiries, diary management and minute taking.

You will be dealing with queries from facilities management room booking, fault reporting managing building notice boards and general FM issues.

You will also be required to assist in the management of the health and safety at properties which includes fire safety, to coordinate and support the directorate's health & safety forums and meetings.

Manage the departments filling systems by keeping hard copies to a minimum and transferring documents to archiving or follow the DIP Process.

What experience you will need

  • Intermediate level of experience with all Microsoft packages

  • To have worked within a busy environment

  • Knowledge of health, safety and welfare policies

  • Knowledge of equal opportunities policies and procedures and experience of implementing these within service areas


  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent level with a good level of numeracy and literacy.

  • Health & Safety IOSH qualified and H&S legislation related to building management.

  • Office skills based qualification such as RSA, Pitsmans, NVQ Business Administration Level 3 BTEC or Equivalent.
