DS81 – Technical Support Engineer – (Plant / Powered Access Equipment)

Location: Wellingborough

Salary: £29,000 - £30,000 + benefits


Working with our prestigious client, a well-established and continually growing national business, we are pleased to announce that we are recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer – (Plant / Powered Access Equipment) to join their expanding team at their depot in Wellingborough.

Duties will primarily involve talking to clients via telephone to assist with 1st line fault finding and tasking engineers to perform maintenance and repair of plant and powered access equipment, arranging delivery and collection of equipment.

You will be required to be very customer facing, IT literate and complete all relevant administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· 1st line fault finding over telephone.
· Organise and plan maintenance, repair and statutory compliance of all Plant and Powered Access within their product range.
· Identify, and report accordingly, machine damage and ensure clear lines of communication are maintained with Engineers, the Depot manager and customers.
· Maintain accurate and comprehensive service and maintenance records.
· Ensure the workplace and working environment is kept to a high standard and in-line with company procedures and processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Electrical, hydraulic and diesel fault-finding experience.
· Plant and Access trained (NVQ level 3 – highly desirable).
· Customer focused.
· Effective planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
· Access Machinery experience is essensial
