Job Location: The successful candidate will either be based in Pembrokeshire or Carmarthenshire


This is a full time, permanent vacancy, whereby if you are successful you will be employed directly by the business on a full time contract of 38 hours.

Job Specification

The purpose of the Level 1 Support Work is to effectively develop and support the welfare and independence of individuals who have learning difficulties, physical difficulties and predominantly on the autistic spectrum.

You will be acting as part of a team to ensure that the main focus is person centred approach, enabling the development of individual plans and in positive risk taking.

You will take a role of Key working within the home guaranteeing their participation features in all aspects of service planning and contributing to improving individual’s needs.

You will take a lead role in the development of the staff team by role modelling and sharing good practice.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure your own actions support the care, protection and well-being of the individuals you support.
  • Support individuals to meet their personal and domestic needs.
  • Support individuals to access community activities.
  • Support individuals to take part in development activities.
  • Communicate with and complete records for individuals supported.
  • Support individuals using the person centered plans, care plans and risk assessments in place.
  • Interact and relate to individuals supported.
  • Support individuals to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Support individuals in taking their medication.
  • Receive and pass on messages and information.
  • Support individuals with finances in line with individual plans.
  • Ensure your own actions support the equality, diversity, rights and responsibilities of individuals supported.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of your team.

Person Specification


  • To be able to work a range of shifts including mornings, days, afternoons, evenings, nights, wake ins and sleep ins.
  • To be fully flexible and adaptable to change.


  • Experience of working in the Health and Social Care industry
  • Full Driving License
