Community IT Instructor, South West & South Wales
At Blind Veterans UK, we believe that no one who has served our country should have to battle blindness alone. It is our mission to ensure that blind ex-Servicemen and women have access to the finest quality of services to help them discover life beyond sight loss. Following our own research and in line with the ethos of the Care Act we are now delivering our services closer to the point of need. This means we recently increased our workforce and to complement that community team we are currently looking for:
1 x COMMUNITY IT INSTRUCTORS – Fixed term for 12 months
35 hours per week.
Home Based, but within reach of local office:
Covering region 2 – South West and South Wales
We have a new and exciting opportunity that is essential to the development of our community based service in delivering IT training to veterans with a vision impairment in their homes and communities in order to enhance their independence, quality of life and digital inclusion.
Are you able to provide comprehensive assessment, deliver bespoke inclusive teaching and make recommendations for equipment to ensure our member receive a high quality IT training service?
Do you want the opportunity to make a difference by contributing to the wider delivery of rehabilitation and activities in the communities to ensure our member’s receive a broad and holistic programme to meet their needs?
Do you have a positive and ‘can do’ attitude, with an engaging and proactive approach? Are you enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable, with the ability to travel to any part of the region and to other communities or Blind Veterans UK sites when required?
