Clinical Systems Lead


£20.00 Umbrella Per Hour (Inside IR35)

Working alongside the CSSM and Clinical Service Staff ensuring that the system is supported, maintained and developed in accordance with the Trust's strategic direction.

Ensuring that all users feel totally and continually supported and communicating complex and difficult to explain IT issues to all staff and senior managers throughout the Trust.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Clinical Systems Development



1.

Implement, maintain and support all future development of clinical systems
2.

Be the escalation point of contact for servicedesk, responsible for advising and communicating changes and developments
3.

Work in conjunction with ICT Service Staff, Performance & Information Team and system suppliers.

Managing elements of IT Projects specifically in relating to development of clinical systems via the existing change control processes
4.

Maintenance of the Intranet Clinical Systems Development Schedule and controlling and phase tracking the dissemination of new development to users
5.

Chairing and attending any local user group meetings involving Clinicians and Admin staff and reporting up to Clinical Systems Service Manager


Clinical Systems Support



1.

Provide specialist advice and support on complex software and detailed information and be instrumental in providing developments and requests for change to the clinical systems which impact on the Trust or CSU, in line with Trust policies and procedures
2.

Advise internal and external staff and stakeholders on extract of critical information ensuring the same is processed in line with Trust policies and procedures and requirements of national and commissioning data sets.


3.

Be the escalation point of contact for servicedesk and be responsible for resolving complex issues
4.

Attend local CSU meetings and report back to Senior Managers
5.

In conjunction with the Trust Informatics Trainer, responsible for ensuring initial and update training is carried out and supporting users when system upgrades and new developments are introduced.


6.

Support staff with use of best practice advice, user error, troubleshooting and re-education of clinical systems practice.
