Data Cleanser

My client, a local authority in East London, is looking for a Data Cleanser to work on an initial 6 month contract basis.



Following on from building the Business Index database and enhancements to the property index, an urgent need for an experienced data cleanser is required to come on board and assist with solving some problems to address data quality records, particularly duplicates, possible matches and classifications of businesses.



If you're able to pick up new skills very quickly and have plenty of database cleansing experience and can hit the ground running it's a great short term opportunity to add value to the new master data index.




The candidate in particular would need to have an experience in the following:

, Identifying and acquiring new data sources.


, Creating and maintaining consistent reference data and master data definitions.


, Publishing relevant data to appropriate users in an organisation, and monitoring the published data sources for usage/relevance/quality feedback.


, Creating and managing business metadata for published data sources to ensure that it is easily discoverable, and meaningful to information workers.


, Resolving data integrity issues across stakeholders.


, Analysing data for quality and reconciling data issues.


, Methodical approach.




Required skills:

, Strong analytical skills
, Proven experience in the Data quality position
, Experience in working with data matching from disparate sources, identifying trends of errors and proposal for resolutions(ideally with address data)
, Strong Ms excel/database skills as well as data quality software
, Experience in working with an audit/compliance/data quality role
, Reporting, communication and strong stakeholder management skills


Desirable skills:

, Knowledge of BS7666 LLPG standard
, Experience in working for Local Government
, Experience of working with data Quality software, such as Pandora.


, Experience of working with a corporate GMS, such as iManage.
