Production Operative

Job Description

  • Assemble, bond and finish components as specified in Production Route Plans (PRP) and drawings

  • Ensure correct materials are used as specified in PRP

  • Ensure the correct production process and technique is followed

  • Loading and unloading of products safely and properly in and out of the press machinery

  • Operate various industrial machines i.e.

    panel saw, presses

  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner in accordance with company policy

  • Carry out other tasks as requested by team leader/management

  • Ensure that all tools and machinery used are in good condition before using and fit for purpose

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience using hand tools, such as drills, sanders, polishers etc

  • Able to read and understand drawings

  • Able to work as part of a team

  • Strong communication

  • Good attention to detail

Hours of Work and Pay

  • 6 Week initial training on day shift

  • Following that, you will be on weekly rotating shifts

  • 6 am to 2 pm

  • 2 pm to 12 am

  • £7.65 Per Hour

  • There're opportunities of training which will increase hourly rate up to £9.40
