My client is looking for Management Information Analyst, the role will enable an interface between the IT team and the rest of the business in regard to reporting and data extraction from the bespoke system.

This will encompass the gathering of what is required by the user, adding, amending and supporting all existing reports that are contained within our bespoke system and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Develop our MI Roadmap, looking at technologies that include further use of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), as well as designing and implementing data cubes and data warehouse systems using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Areas of Responsibility

  • Work within a busy IT team and liaise with all areas of the business.

  • Document any changes required from the business and provide suggestions and feedback to all levels.

  • Field all report requests and data enquiries from all business areas and prioritise these jobs correctly liaising with the IT project team.

  • Contribute and develop the long term MI roadmap within the business.

  • Work within a flexible working environment and adapt to various workloads.

Person Specification

  • Self-Motivated.

  • Strong Communicator at all levels.

  • Analytical Skills and Problem Solving.

  • Strong Planning and organising skills.

  • Work as an individual and within a team.

Candidate must have the following skills:-

  • Creation of reports and stored procedures in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

  • Able to write and amend SQL commands and stored procedures with Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Competent use of Office packages.

Candidate will ideally have some of following skills but not all:-

  • Strong performance in Maths and English.

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel - Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Dashboard creation and VBA skills.

  • Ability to prioritise individual work load to balance the demands of the IT Team.

  • Able to interpret data and present this in a number of graphical and non-graphical ways.

  • Additional IT Competencies desired but not essential:- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Visual Basic.NET
