VP, Director of Marketing and Communications


The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for defining and implementing Bank's brand and marketing strategy.

This person will report directly to the Chief Banking Officer and will be expected to collaborate with Senior Leadership to define the Bank's marketing objectives in order to achieve the Bank's financial and strategic goals.

This person must be an expert in thought leadership, brand marketing, strategic and bank wide communications, delivery channels, public relations, advertising campaigns, marketing research and content marketing.



Daily Responsibilities:



  • Oversee marketing staff and manage day-to-day marketing functions of the Bank to include advertising, promotions, social media and community service activities

  • Develops and implements annual marketing plan and budget; maintain operating budgets

  • Manage brand marketing to include corporate positioning, market and competitive analysis, customer segmentation, and channel delivery strategies including digital

  • Contribute timely and relevant news items, product and program presentations, and other content for the Bank's website, intranet and social media

  • Prepare press releases for senior level appointments, product promotions, new branch openings, M&A activities, etc.

  • Research competitors' products, rates and services and suggest new products (to include pricing strategies) as well as improvement to the Bank's current products as needed

  • Assess market conditions, define, recommend, implement and monitor retail banking strategy in order to sustain the bank's competitive edge and results

  • Establishes and maintains a consistent image throughout all product lines, branches, promotional materials, and events

  • Collaborates with staff from all Departments to develop effective communications regarding Bank products, services and channels

  • Responsible for the timely conception, planning and production of all marketing materials

  • Management of relationships with outside vendors and research potential suppliers

  • Works with Compliance and BSA to maintain marketing compliance, research and approvals

  • Partners with Human Resources and other Departments at the Bank to develop internal communications disseminated via the Bank's Intranet, electronic signage, and email


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree with a Business Administration/Marketing/Communications Major

  • Minimum 7-10+ years related experience

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital and social media

  • Must possess excellent organizational, planning, project management and time management skills

  • Must possess extensive knowledge of marketing, branding, advertising, sales, finance, business analytics, public relations, and an in-depth understanding of customers, and Bank products and markets

  • Strong technical skills to include knowledge of Salesforce, Adobe Photoshop, Design and Illustrator
