£17 - £21 p/h Ltd
3-6 Months contract

Our client is a market leading engineering company with a site in Newbury.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to take on a Goods In Inspector / Quality Inspector to assist in their goods in inspection department.

The role of the Goods in / Quality Inspector would involve inspecting incoming mechanical parts used in our clients manufacturing process to ensure they are of high quality.

The appointed Goods In Inspector / Quality Inspector will be responsible for the following inspection duties:
Inspecting of incoming mechanical parts to ensure quality is to correct standard
Use of measurement equipment including but not limited to: Vernier calipers, measurement devices etc.
Carrying out NDT (non-destructive tests)
Use of CMM machines (coordinate measurement machines)
All other general inspection / quality assurance duties

The successful Goods In / Quality Inspector will have the following skills and experience:
Previous experience inspecting mechanical parts using measurement equipment
A keen eye for quality accuracy
A background as a machinist would be advantageous
CMM Machine experience would be advantageous
A working knowledge of engineering drawings is essential
A strong knowledge and use of measurement equipment
