The post holder will assist the senior managers within the performance function to ensure that the CSU has robust systems in place to monitor, analyse and report information on performance management of the providers.


The post holder will be responsible for designing and scoping the products to be provided, building and automating (as far as possible) the templates and tools, and establishing the data feeds that will go with these.

  • Design and develop provider reporting tools to support the delivery of the Directorate's Product Development Plan

  • Using Excel, VBA and Access to create a products and a process that allows staff to maintain and amend new products easily

  • Maintain robust information flows to support the delivery of core products and use understanding of nationally published provider data sets to maximise benefit to clients

  • Interpret complex performance information provided by various sources internal and external including analyses and assessment for interpretation and recommendation to create products that provide solutions

  • Plan tasks and activities and make necessary adjustments when necessary to ensure work is completed on time.

    Tight deadlines whether internal or external have to be strictly adhered to as late submissions could impact on performance management

  • Support the senior managers to streamline and automate performance reporting processes to facilitate effective sharing of information and enable informed decision making by the CSU

  • The post holder will support the development of performance reporting systems and processes relating to planning, monitoring, analysing, reporting to support the commissioning process

  • To assist senior managers to monitor the performance management framework in line with national guidance and establish robust monitoring mechanisms

  • To ensure that reports and external performance data returns are timely, accurate, and utilise robust and quality assured data

  • To develop a content management system to ensure performance information is properly managed and best practice is shared across the team

  • The post holder is required to follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in their work and take responsibility for maintaining their personal training in the use of SOPs as part of their annual training and development plan
