Project Manager (Business Change)- Stockport - Contract.

Our client based near Stockport is currently looking for a Project Manager for a 2-3 month contact (possible extensions).

We are looking for a Project Manager with strong planning skills required to bring together workstream plans.

This is a small project management team, sitting within a larger operations department.

The role would suit someone with a hands-on approach, willing to roll their sleeves up and get involved.

The successful applicant will be responsible for driving the delivery of multiple business change projects, ensuring that realistic timescales, scope and cost are effectively planned and managed.

Skills & Experience:
Degree in appropriate field and/or professional qualification (PRINCE2)
5 years relevant experience in a project management role
Ability to analyse complex situations/problems
Being comfortable working in ambiguous situations
Ability to manage concurrent, cross-functional medium to large projects
Experience of matrix management
Competent user of MS Office, including MS Project
Ability to build stakeholder relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present at senior management level

Financial Services background is preferred, otherwise experience in a regulated environment
Flexible and adaptable to change, supporting other team members as and when required
Experience of selecting and managing third party suppliers would be beneficial
