SharePoint Web Designer- TS/SCI- Fairfax, VA

General Dynamics is looking for a SharePoint Content Manager and Web Designer to join an exciting government program.

The successful candidate will be a proactive, forward-leaning self-starter able to work in a fast-paced organization and quickly understand technical concepts and communicate them in a way that can be understood by non-technical people.

  • The SharePoint Content Manager and Web Designer will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of SharePoint elements including sites, lists, libraries, calendars, web parts, and others.

  • The Content Manager will also manage user permissions as needed.

  • The Content Manager will support the migration of large amounts of content from a legacy file management system to SharePoint, to include metadata tagging.

  • The Web Designer will assist in the creation of workflows to automate the customer's business processes.

  • As needed, the Web Designer will assist in user testing for newly developed capabilities.

  • Someone with a passion for working in a customer support role, has attention to detail, able to multi-task, and can work with multiple project leads to understand and communicate program information will thrive in this environment.

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI

  • 5-8 years of related experience in web software development.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with SharePoint

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint 2010 and 2013

  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS

  • Experience with SharePoint best practices, and able to train others on those practices

  • Experience creating and maintaining SharePoint sites, web parts, lists, libraries, and calendars, and managing user permissions

  • Experience with migrating content to SharePoint and metadata tagging

  • Experience creating SharePoint workflows

  • Knowledge of third-party SharePoint tools, including Nintex Workflow and Metalogix Content Matrix, desired

  • Experience in Agile methodologies highly desired
