Shift Supervisor - Liverpool - £32,000 pa



Our client, a specialist manufacturing company based in Liverpool, is currently looking for a Shift Supervisor to join their team.

This role is working a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, paying £32,000 pa.



The Candidate



As a First Line Manager, you will report directly to the Shift Manager and be responsible for undertaking a wide range of processing activities whilst providing support in your area in health & safety, quality, team development and continuous improvement to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the plant.

You will take an active role in providing leadership and support to ensure the highest standards are met in line with the company's commitment to drive continuous improvements and become ‘best in class'.



Key Responsibilities:



Production Operation



  • Ensuring the highest standards in health and safety, quality, housekeeping and production.

  • Working in an efficient and safe manner at all times and ensuring that a clean and tidy work environment is maintained.

  • Completing a full and efficient shift handover

  • Assisting with Engineering requests and handovers before and after breakdown repair

  • Working closely with planning team to ensure production schedule is maintained



Health and Safety



  • Driving H&S within your Factory ensuring the highest standards are achieved

  • Ensuring H&S activity is carried out in your Factory and all paperwork is completed:


o Hazard spotting


o Near miss and accident reports


o Risk Assessments


o Guard Checks



  • Control of PPE within your Factory



Quality



  • Conducting a minimum of three Manager's Quality Checks per shift

  • Ensuring all appropriate paperwork is available and/or completed

  • Assist with the completion of Internal Concern paperwork and Root Cause Analysis



Continuous Improvement



  • Assisting with the creation of Work Instructions, Visual Aids and SOPs

  • Supporting continuous improvement projects and 5S activities within the factory

  • Conducting training and coaching

  • Delivering toolbox talks



General
