Asset Manager

My client based in Luton is looking for an Asset/Valuation Manager to join their team.

This is a full time, Permanent position and the successful candidate will hold a full UK driving licence and will hold a relevant professional qualification.

The main Purpose of this role is to Act as lead officer for Fixed Assets in the development of asset and capital strategies.


PURPOSE OF POST:

Act as lead officer for Fixed Assets in the development of asset and capital strategies that seek to deliver meaningful savings to the Client and improve service delivery and accessibility, bringing forward potential new projects as necessary.

Using the experience gained in working in a commercial environment, you will develop, lead and take forward strategies and opportunities aimed at securing significant capital investment into the Client's assets.

Essential Experience:

-Substantial experience of policy/strategy development/implementation and working collaboratively with senior managers and external clients.

-Substantial experience of preparing bids for external funding.

-Substantial experience of working in a commercial environment.

-Substantial experience of leading and managing staff.

-Significant experience of managing budgets.

Essential Skills/Abilities;

-Expert knowledge of strategy development and implementation

-Extensive knowledge of commercial modelling and cost benefit analysis

-Able to negotiate with and persuade and influence others at a senior level, make presentations to interested groups and to achieve agreement or consensus between groups or individuals with differing aims.

-Able to manage periods of heavy and conflicting demands.

-Able to prepare and present complex reports and undertake formal
presentations on complex matters in a clear and comprehensible manner to both professional and lay audiences.

-Able to use ICT to enhance service delivery, analyse and interpret data, produce meaningful statistics and write reports.

-RICS Qualified & Registered Estate Surveyor

CONTEXT:
The post-holder will be active and dynamic member of the Fixed Assets Divisional Management Team and act as change champion for their area of expertise.

DMT will, collectively, be responsible for the following:

-establish a strategic framework to review assets against service needs.

-ensure that retained operational assets are accessible and fit for purpose

-undertake feasibility studies to unlock existing assets to bring forward for development

-identify new projects to meet the needs of the Client and its partners

-ensure that all projects are affordable and deliverable
