Finance Accounts Assistant

Finance Assistant required for a multi-site European precision engineering manufacturer.

Based at the Rzeszow site, the Finance Assistant will be part of a growing finance team, helping to develop the accounting functions of this expanding business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with industry experience, to develop their accounting career. 

Qualifications required

  • Degree in finance / accounting or related.
  • Started or readiness to start their ACCA / CIMA qualifications path.

Skills and experience required

  • Work experience 1-2 years’ in a similar position, preferably in industry.
  • Proficient in use of MS Excel, Power Point, Office.

    MS Access – would be an advantage.
  • English at operational level.

Responsibilities will include

  • Financial accounting including:

    • Group records: preparation and posting of journals for proceeds, costs, purchases, receivables, payables, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments, money transfers, loans and taxation.
    • Operational management of the Invoice Finance facility.
    • Review and update of standard costs.
    • Intercompany reconciliations.
    • Communication with and support to HQ’s, local statutory accountants and auditors.
    • Reconciliations between group records and statutory accounts.

  • Management accounting including:

    • Co-design and implementation of basic management accounting reports: profitability analysis per contract and profit centre, profit variance vs budget analysis, effectiveness of net working capital (inventory and receivables management).
    • Budget and forecast preparation.
    • Co-design and implementation of basic financial control procedures.
    • Short and mid-term cash flow projections and cash management.

  • After a successful period of up to a year, the incumbent could take over management accounting full time.
