Position: Receptionist/Administrator

Location: Halifax

Duration: Temp - Perm

Hours of work: Mon - Thurs 7:45am - 4:30pm, Fri 8:00am - 1:45pm

Salary circa: £7.50 per hour

Position Overview

An opportunity has arisen to work for a long established global engineering group.

They are looking for a dedicated Receptionist to join their busy team.

The purpose of this role is to ensure all visitors and telephone callers are assisted quickly and efficiently to enforce the company's dedication to customer service and also to provide administration support.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Meeting and greeting of visitors.

  • Ensure all visitors are briefed on Health & Safety guidelines and fire procedures.

  • Operate an efficient ‘3 ring' answer policy.

  • To complete management and upkeep of the telephone listing and speed dial listing.

  • To ensure the daily incoming and outgoing mail is actioned efficiently and to required timescales.

  • Efficient controlling of meeting room diary - including organisation of refreshments / lunches.

  • To provide administration support to the business.

  • Ordering consumables for reception and meeting rooms.

  • Any other reasonable requests.

Essential qualifications & experience:

  • Experience within a previous similar role.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Good clear and confident telephone manner.

  • Ability to work under pressure and remain professional at all times.
