The Dental Nurse we seek understands that the patients' experience within the surgery is as much their responsibility as it is the Clinician and they will take all reasonable methods to ensure patient comfort.

Every part of this dental nurses clinical support is carried out in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the ‘Code of Ethics' of the British Association of Dental Nurses and the GDC requirements and recommendations.

They are comfortable engaging with patients and family face to face within the practice and must be able to listen to any complaints that may arise and escalate to the right person if unable to fix themselves.

This person's surgery is always prepared in the correct way for the next patient and the relevant treatment plan.

You will need to be a GDC registered Dental Nurse to apply for this role.

Full time - Monday-Friday
Monday: 08:45-17:30
Tuesday: 08:45-18:30
Wednesday: 08:45-17:30
Thursday: 08:45-17:30
Friday: 09:00-13:00

·To hold a recognised Dental Nursing Qualification and valid GDC and professional indemnity at all times
·To perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting dentists, hygienists and therapists in all dental procedures in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the ‘Code of Ethics' of the British Association of Dental Nurses and the GDC requirements and recommendations to dentists and their staff
·To establish and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team
·To provide clinical support, guidance and advice to Dental Nurses and Trainee Dental Nurses within the practice
·To assist the Practice Manager in the supervision of Dental Nurses and Trainee Dental Nurses
·To act as a mentor and provide training for Dental Nurses and Trainee Dental Nurses as requested by the Practice Manager
·To carry out and/or assist with inductions for Trainee Dental Nurses as required
·To act as an example to Dental Nurses and Trainee Dental Nurses in relation to conduct and attitude
·To assist any dentists within in the practice or company with complex treatments
·To take reasonable care for her/his own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by her/his acts or omissions at work.
·To assist on reception and perform other clerical duties as required
·To identify his/her own training and development needs to be discussed within staff appraisal.
·Assist throughout the practice and perform such other tasks as reasonably requested by the Practice Manager or Senior Management Team.

Salary competitive and negotiable dependent on experience

Valid Immunisations (Hep B)
DBS (previously known as CRB)
Proof of right to work in the UK
