Location: Dartford

Salary: £18,500 - £21,500 + commission (OTE circa £35,000+)

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently supporting an established and growing logistics business, with both UK and European interests, in the recruitment of additional Customer Service / Account Advisers.

The Customer Service / Account Advisers will be responsible for customer service activities and account management for both new and existing clients.

Duties include responding to inquiries, processing orders, and handling customer queries and questions in a prompt, courteous and effective manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  •  Interact with customers by phone and email, processing enquiries and orders or changes in service.
  •  Processing all customer orders and providing accurate breakdown of additional services available, depending on individual requirements.
  •  Generate all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer orders and check all orders for special requests. 
  •  Traces orders as required and notifies customers of any activity concerning their account, including shipping and tracing information.
  •  Maintains a good working relationship with customers by responding to all inquiries concerning receipts, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc., in a courteous and efficient manner.
  •  Report customer feedback to line manager, including any signs of customer dissatisfaction.
  •  Acts as customer point of contact for all services related information. 
  •  Performs paperwork associated with orders including maintaining customer files. 
  •  Performs clerical work as required including answering phone calls, operating various office machines and computers and corresponding with customers. 
  •  Notify line management of all requested changes from the customer regarding shipping, handling, or administrative characteristics.
  •  Works with management regarding product routing for customers. 
  •  Other duties as required and assigned. 

Skills and Qualifications:


  •  Minimum 6 months related experience in customer focused or similar role.
  •  PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  •  Ability to write reports and formal business correspondence. 
  •  Ability to solve practical problems.
  •  Ability to deal with a variety of variables in complex situations. 
  •  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format. 
  •  Logistics knowledge is highly desirable.
  •  Spoken / written Spanish is highly desirable.
