Systems Test Installation Engineer - Cheshire

The company

Our client is involved in the manufacture and supply of state-of-the-art scientific research systems including PVD, CVD and etch tools, to academic and industrial customers.

They are looking to appoint a Systems Test Installation engineer to add talent to their existing team.

The Role.

The role will involve high-level systems build, testing at both sub-assembly and system level, factory sign-off procedures and travel to customer locations to conduct installation and user training.

For some systems, semi-custom elements of the build will require the development and implementation of technical solutions and coordination with scientific staff.

Duties include:

Interface with the electronic and mechanical design team for BoM validation prior to manufacture
Test systems and sub-assemblies
Organise and maintain test data and procedures
Provide feedback and suggested modifications to design team
Oversee factory acceptance tests
Plan and complete system installations and user raining at customer locations
Active involvement in post-sales support


The ideal candidate MUST possess the technical background needed for identifying areas for improvement in an engineering production operation
Hold a diploma level in a technical field
Good financial astuteness is essential
Two years vacuum systems experience
Hold a current passport (for unrestricted travel in the EU)
Hold EU driving license

Additional languages and some level of programming knowledge would be advantageous.
