1st & 2nd Line IT Support

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a talented individual who can take up the role of IT Support, carrying out both 1st & 2nd Line support roles.

 

It will be your duty to:

 

  • Respond to and action helpdesk tickets according to the helpdesk SLA
  • Hardware support and maintenance of
    • PCs
    • Barcode scanners
    • Label printers
  • Maintenance of admin PCs

To apply for this role you must posses the following skills:

 

  • A degree in a computer related discipline, or a HND in a computer related discipline with 2 years relevant work experience, or a minimum 4 years relevant work experience
  • A good working knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Experience of installing and supporting barcode scanners
  • Experience of installing and supporting label printers
  • A good understanding of computer hardware
  • Experience of working on a helpdesk system
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Eye for detail and identifying problem

This role does involve some travel to sites in Kent & near Newcastle Upon Tyne .

which will be fully reimbursed. Weekday shifts are on a rotation basis, 8am – 4pm, 9am – 5pm and 10am – 6pm.  There may also be the need to cover weekend or out of hours work.
