£34 to £36k + great benefits

My client, a legal Insurance services company is looking for an Data Warehouse/SQL Developer to develop and maintain existing data warehouse by writing new/ amending SQL stored procedures and data warehouse metadata.

They are the leading providers of legal and handling services to the UK general insurance sector.

Currently they provide specialist services to 12 of the UK's 20 largest motor insurers in areas such as counter fraud, costs, credit hire, defendant services, large & complex injury and recoveries.

About The Role

Main Responsibilities:
Further develop and maintain existing data warehouse by writing new/ amending SQL stored procedures and data warehouse metadata
Troubleshoot ETL problems
Write ad hoc SQL scripts to deal with MI queries
Continually review and optimise queries
Test solutions
Work with colleagues in IT and the wider business to develop MI specifications and solutions
Monitor and develop SSIS packages
Provide training and mentoring to junior team members

Person specification:
Strong SQL coding experience
Experience of working with and developing data warehouses is essential
Strong data and analytical skills and experience using large-scale commercial data
Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and produce accurate output
Experienced with Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work as a team and a willingness to support fellow team members
Good time management skills with the ability to juggle work amid shifting priorities
Team player with ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
Experience in writing dynamic SQL is strongly desirable
Previous legal sector or professional services experience would be desirable
