Supplier Quality Engineer - Electronics


A market leading actuator manufacturer are actively looking to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a Quality team of 14 multi-talented engineers from a variety of industries, all working to promote smooth production and quality assurance of each customers requirement.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a strong Production or Quality Assurance background with hands on experience on a production line.

However, the company would also be keen to attract engineers who are looking to pursue a career within a Quality Assurance environment, providing they have sufficient Electronic, PCB or component knowledge.

If you are hands on and driven to work with a finished product or the “bigger picture”, then this may be the perfect role for you.

You will be responsible for implementing effective corrective and preventative actions in close association with suppliers, purchasing, engineering and production!

Essential Experience
-Proven experience in a PCBA assembly and test environment, covering SMD and conventional components
-Sound knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes such as surface mount and through hole components, wave solder, reflow and AOI is a must
-Knowledge/experience of ATE or Flying Probe would be beneficial
-PCB Manufacturing experience

Desirable Experience
-Electronics test experience down to component level
-Experience within a sub contract, electronics manufacturer, OEM or automotive background.
-Background within supply chain or experience with suppliers

You will also have the chance to travel to the Far East throughout the year to visit manufacturing sites, suppliers and customers.
