My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join their team due to continued growth and development.

The main purpose of this role will be to proactively manage the site’s compliance to all relevant Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, procedures and best practise, including Acts, Regulation, and ACOPs (where applicable) and company policies and procedures.



  • Extensive experience within a Quality, Health & Safety Role, within a manufacturing business
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC & FSC
  • NEBOSH General Diploma or Equivalent
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Extensive experience of all Microsoft Office Packages



Health and Safety

  • Management and development of onsite systems
  • Responsible for ensuring current legislation and standards are adhered to
  • Investigating any injuries and ensuring accident paperwork & records are kept up to date
  • Investigating near misses and ensuring actions are closed out by departmental managers
  • Working with managers to reinforce Health and safety best practice
  • To ensure that all contractors have correct insurance, RAMS, SSOW etc.
  • Training employees on safety issues such as: fire safety, manual handling, etc.
  • Ensuring COSHH registers are kept updated
  • Working with all departments in risk assessing all new machinery or processes.
  • Advising on PPE Requirements
  • To chair monthly H&S meetings and follow up actions from the meetings.
  • To create permits to work when required.
  • Working with the site management team to drive & develop the H&S culture at the site


  • Maintenance & development of onsite quality system.
  • Investigating quality complaints (Internal / External / Supplier)
  • Visiting customers and suppliers to investigate issues & work towards resolutions
  • Trending complaints & working with relevant departments to avoid re-occurrences
  • Ensuring corrective actions are recorded and reported monthly
  • Conducting spot checks on product quality & records
  • Conducting internal and supplier audits

Business standards

  • Maintain and develop site ISO9001, ISO14001, BRC & FSC Accreditations
  • Ensuring all systems & procedures are adhered to
  • Updating site procedures as we grow and develop the business
  • To ensure contractors waste carrier licences are checked and updated accordingly
  • To ensure a recycle programme is implemented and maintained
  • To ensure the organisation are compliant with environmental regulations.
  • Calculate the organisation’s carbon footprint through KPI’s on previous years.
  • Calculate the organisation’s recycling data, through KPI’s on previous years.
