Polar Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading international IT Services client for a Bid Financial Lead to join an existing team working on pre-sales activities for large Managed Services outsourcing bids.


The Bid Financial Lead is a challenging role within a dynamic environment, and would suit someone with previous experience of shaping commercial offerings for Managed Services proposals.


The successful candidate can be based from any UK location - London, Reading, Bristol, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds etc.

- as the role will involve working from home approximately 50% of the time, but will require flexibility and a willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally internationally at other times when supporting bid pursuit activities.



Responsibilities



  • Development of customer-specific commercial pricing mechanisms as part of a pre-sales response to customer RFP's

  • Co-ordination and consolidation of costs from Service Design teams, resolving conflict, challenge and ensuring costs represent the complete solution, alongside the Solution Manager.

  • Formation and ownership of the total commercial view (P&L, cash flow etc.) of the deal

  • Creation of bespoke dynamic commercial models for use internally and with the customer

  • Review and update commercial contracts ahead of client submission/agreement

  • Ensure proper consideration of all financial aspects within complex, high risk, large scale Managed Service bids

  • Provide support to the sales team in assessing a target win-price, benchmarking analysis and/or target cost identification

  • Present and/or provide financial information to senior stakeholders to support decision making at key points in the pre-sales process



Essential Skills & Experience



  • Previous experience in a similar Bid Financial Lead role

  • Experience within the IT Services industry, particularly of outsourced managed services contracts.

  • Experience of creating bespoke pricing/financial models and mechanisms.

  • Experience of working in a pre-sales environment and knowledge of the bid lifecycle

  • Detailed knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and advanced Excel skills

  • Extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure and to work flexibly in order to meet strict deadlines

  • Excellent communication and team-working skills

  • Willing to travel as necessary in line with business needs including overseas if required.
