Deputy Manager - Learning Disabilities

A leading national organisation who support individuals with learning difficulties and mental health issues, are looking for a Deputy Manager to join their newly formed Supported Living service in Swindon.


The Deputy Manager will receive a competitive salary, comprehensive paid training scheme and a clear progression path to eventually become a Service Manager.

  • Starting salary of £20,000 with the opportunity to earn a minimum of £3,000 on top annual with sleep-ins (plus additional uplifts on sleep-in allowances)

The Role:



  • Leading and directing the support worker team to ensure high standards

  • Assisting in the organisation and monitoring of the service in conjunction with the Manager

  • Rota management

  • Protecting and promoting the interests of the service users

  • Delivering person-centred support to service users in accordance with CQC standards

  • Encouraging the independence of the service users

  • Appropriately responding to everyone's needs in accordance with their care plans and risk assessments


Requirements for the Deputy Manager:



  • NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care

  • Experience in a management or supervisory role

  • Understanding of CQC inspection process

  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and on call

  • Hands on management style

  • Driving License and Vehicle
