Commercial Manager

Commercial Manager, Civil Engineering, Major Projects experience would be great but not essential


Location: York & Humberside


The business has a requirement for an experienced Commercial Manager who will support the growing commercial team of this leading Civil Engineering contractor.


Experience in the Utilities sector would be an advantage also.



The role will involve managing financial risk and develop lasting relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.



  • Management of subcontract procurement by the commercial team

  • Commercial management of subcontractor accounts from commencement on site to negotiation and agreement of final accounts

  • Review and management of monthly cost value reconciliation reports

  • Review of monthly cost and value to complete forecasts for projects

  • Review and negotiation of final accounts

  • Supporting team with procurement issues

  • Management of cost and risk

  • Provision of commercial and contractual support and advice to management teams


About the Company/Client/Project:
A leading national contractor seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to have an impact on their long term infrastructure investment.

You will be attached to their North East region delivering a major Civil Engineering project to the value of £40m.



Requirements
Ideally you will hold a minimum of BSc or HND Quantity Surveying, alternatively, you may hold the equivalent in a construction related subject.

Quantity Surveying background.

The salary and package is negotiable depending on experience.
