Systems Administrator w/Polygraph

Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.

  • Performs complex systems development and design work that my include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.

  • Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.

  • Plans upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements.

  • Develops documentation on new or existing systems.

  • Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.

  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.

  • Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.

  • Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.

  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers and my have supervisory responsibility.

  • May serve as a technical team or task lead.

  • Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

  • Required Skills:

    • Demonstrated work experience with the Red Hat Linux environment

    • Experience with CentOS

    • Experience with scripting for automation

    • Experience with virtualization

    • Experience with open-source monitoring tools such as Ganglia and Nagios

    • Experience supporting an Agile enterprise software development environment

    • Experience serving as technical team lead

    • Provides guidance to less experienced Linux administrators

    • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our developers encounter

    • Monitor systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns

    • Tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure of 1600 servers

    Desired Skills:

    • Demonstrated job experience or training with AWS/C2S

    • Experience with Puppet

    • Experience with Red Hat Ansible

    • Experience with Red Hat Satellite

    • Experience with Foreman

    • Experience with Windows Active Directory

    • Demonstrated on-the-job engineering experience and in-depth knowledge with virtual apps, desktops, and data from any device

    • Demonstrate great understanding and practices with SecOps and DevOps concepts

    Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

    8-10 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
