Chief Scientific Officer

Our client is looking for a real scientist with PhD in immuno-oncology (preferably solid cancers) who has also some experience in the Pharma business and is up to date with the science and directions in this area.

Experiences in clinical trials is a positive.

Experiences with Pathogen Recognition Receptors, Dendritic cells and animal cancer models is a real positive, so is knowledge on mycobacterial cell walls.


Your knowledge and existing stature (evidenced by list of publications and presentations on congresses) and confident communicating across all stakeholders.

Your ambition and hard work ethos is key with an ability to work in a small hands-on organisation and the potential to become CEO in 5-10 years from now.


Ideally you will have a commercial twist in your thinking.

If you are a pure academic you will need to aware our client outsources their laboratories.


An ability to influence investors and knowledgeable.

If you have worked outside UK or have a global feel this will be looked upon as a positive, but not strictly necessary.

You will needs to be highly self-motivated, with the need to work often on your own initiative and to lead projects on external labs.

You will be somebody that thinks outside the box and is creative with an ability find new opportunities for our an exciting new drug, very strong medical writing skills will be essential to the success of this role.
