Support Worker (Mental Health)


An experienced Support Worker is required to work in North London as part of a team to support people with issues relating to mental health, substance misuse and previous offending behaviour in a hostel setting.

Reporting to a Unit Manager you will assist in the provision of high quality support services to adults.


What work is involved


The role would suit an enthusiastic, organised energetic person with experience of working and assisting in the provision of good quality support to residents within a semi- independant hostel setting.


This work will include:



  • Initial assessments

  • Updating client records

  • Helping to organise the attendance to appointments

  • Ensuring health and safety within the building

  • One-to-one and group work

  • Administration

  • Managing a case load

  • Key Working


You will be required have an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care and experience of working with clients who have suffered from issues related to mental health.

You will be based within a residential/hostel setting, so any one with this type of experience would be at an advantage.


This post is based on a day or night shift pattern to be agreed in advance.

A minimum of 3 x 7.5 hour shifts per week will be required.


Pay rate £10.25ph
