Website Migration Lead - Project Manager - East London

Digital Project Manager required for a leading established IT Solutions Provider to be based on one of their flagship client sites in East London to lead a large complex website migration project, managing the quality and integrity of content and services on to a new web platform.

Key experience would be in project management of a similar website content migration project, with skills in content strategy/editorial.

A large complex website migration with some scoping already completed, the Project Manager will be capable of picking up the project to quickly assimilate the requirements to deliver.

The role is a full-time requirement but with a degree of flexible working / remote / home-working available where appropriate.


With some key functionality in place preparations are underway for the migration of the customer's client information content.

Managing the migration of this and other areas of content smoothly is critical to the project's success, with 86% of site visitors viewing at least one information page.

Last year saw c.14 million information sessions.

We are looking for an individual with experience of managing a complex content migration and editorial processes.

In addition to project management of the migration, you will also help to embed new editorial processes for website content and the use of best practice tools designed to help content creators develop user-focused and effective content.

We are approaching the project in an Agile way and implementing new processes as we go, so flexibility in your approach will be key to success in the role, as will the ability to maintain pace in a complex project.


  • Oversee migration timelines and the content backlog.

    Drive pace of delivery

  • Support the Digital Development Manager with overall project management and the Digital Development Manager and Digital Content and Marketing Manager with overseeing content quality

  • Build on and communicate project documentation e.g.

    migration plan, RACI, risk register

  • Engage with and support migration stakeholders and content owners

  • Manage and triage communication between stakeholders, the project team and other contractors

  • Work with the Digital Content Team to implement website content toolkit and ensure inclusion in internal communications and training

  • Keep the project team updated with migration progress and proactively identify and manage any blockers/issues

  • Oversee and evolve the new website editorial process, ensuring that quality and a good level of internal customer service are maintained


  • Experience managing the migration of a large and complex website

  • Project management experience, ideally within an Agile environment

  • Experience of stakeholder management

  • Experience of implementing and overseeing digital processes

  • Content strategy and/or experience of developing user-centred content

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage digital and non-digital stakeholders

  • Understanding of best practice in website content, ideally in a health/mass information provision setting

  • Understanding of SEO essentials
