Infrastructure Engineer - Enghouse CCSP - Remote Home Working

Reporting to the Technical Director you will be a fundamental part of the team managing the company's multi-vendor blend of IT infrastructure, with a specific focus on telephony.


Duties & Responsibilities



  • Design, deployment and support of the company contact centre platform, session border controllers and associated telephony systems

  • Design, deployment and support of the company Windows servers farm, virtualisation and storage systems

  • Troubleshooting of complex IT infrastructure problems with vendor escalation and Problem ownership through to resolution

  • Monitoring and performance tuning of IT infrastructure to minimise any business disruption time and SLA adherence

  • Design, deployment and management of information security policies in alignment with ISO27001 standards

  • Development of technical documentation, internal standards and reports as requested by management

  • Research, evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to address emerging industry and technical needs

  • 5+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Architecture in high availability contact centre / VoIP environments

  • Ability to perform effectively as a subject matter expert within your area of telephony and as a team player

  • Mentor, coach and impart knowledge to junior team members with minimal supervision

  • Enghouse CCSP Contact Centre platform

  • Sonus session border controller platform

  • MCSE, CCNP and/or CCVP Voice

  • SIP Gateways and Trunking

  • Windows Server 2008 /2012

  • Active Directory

  • Group Policies and their application for Security best practice

  • Virtualisation Technologies (ESXi)

  • SAN / NAS Storage Technologies

  • MS SQL Server 2008 / 2012

  • Microsoft Exchange 2010/ 2013

  • ISA Server & Firewall Configuration

  • Windows debugging tools (WinDBG, Sysinternals tools)

  • DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP

  • HP / Dell Hardware and monitoring tools

  • Information security best practice

  • Windows Scripting (Batch, VBScript, Powershell)

Working Hours & Environment


This is a full-time role based from home from with some occasional travel requirements.

The working hours will be 09:00 - 17:30 from Monday to Friday, however you may be required to work outside of these hours to support the business as required.


Technology and Home Office Requirements


You will need to provide a quiet and secluded home office equipped with a dedicated telephone line, a dedicated wired broadband connection, a dedicated to work PC (desktop) with at least 2 screens, a PC headset and a telephone handset with headset, all meeting our required specifications.


You will not be moving home within the next 6 months.
