Electronics Production Engineer
We are a market leading engineering company specialising in the design, development and manufacture of medical devices.
Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineer / Production Engineer, to join our highly motivated team.
The Electronics Engineer / Production Engineer will work in a newly formed Application and Process Engineering Hub to facilitate and support transfer into production and support existing production of electronic sub-assemblies and associated processes for electro-mechanical products.
, Facilitate productionisation of electronic sub-assemblies
, Supplier and subcontractor assessment for supply of electronic sub-assemblies
, Risk assessment of processes, supplier and risk mitigation planning
, Development and review of electronics assembly and testing procedures
, Maintain/calibrate production/assembly electronic test equipment
, Liaise with Quality department on electronic production and component, inspection and assembly issues
, Creation of work instructions for processes and assembly relating to products containing electronic sub-assemblies.
Requirements of the Electronics Production Engineer:
This is an exciting and challenging role for a pro-active individual, who has proven experience of electronic manufacturing processes, testing & circuit fault finding, including a familiarity with electronic test equipment, PCB assembly inspection, IPC-A-621 and quality control techniques.
The successful candidate will hold a HND, or equivalent, in Electronic Engineering or a related subject.
You will be self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative to achieve deadlines and targets.
Although not essential, experience in LabView, Matlab or Visual Basic and experience of designing and building bespoke test equipment would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and engineering drawings, ideally gained within a regulated industry, such as medical, aerospace or automotive.
