The Company and the Role:
The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and Logistics provider.

They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects.
The company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Restaurant , Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton.
They are now seeking a retail-oriented Catering Manager to establish and manage the restaurant.

The role is considered permanent in that the role is for 2.5 years i.e.

Until the end of 2021.
The restaurant’s Clientele will predominantly be a Construction workforce, from both the end customer and their sub-contractors’ teams and although the number of diners is anticipated to be around 200 per day when it first opens they are estimated to rise to 700 - 1000 diners in early 2020.

The Company is seeking candidates with a proven track record of management within a contract catering environment, be commercially driven with a proven track of delivering great customer service.

Key Features of the Role:
Utilise your experience as the Catering Manager to maximise commercial opportunities and play an instrumental role in the service delivery on the contract.
Be responsible for a team of Cooks and Front of House staff (approximately 10), and ancillary staff including maintenance and other services building a good relationship with the client and customers.
Fully responsible for the catering P&L account including labour budget, increase sales, improving profitability, establish and maintain the standards of the site and offer the best service possible.
Adhere to company processes and procedures and attend regular client meetings.
Act at SSH&E lead for the catering team complying with all Food Hygiene regulations and plan, implement, monitor and control the quality of service to agreed standards.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ideally be an accomplished Catering Manager with contract catering and retail catering experience and hold recognised qualifications.
Experienced in catering management experience and able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
Skilled at gaining employee engagement of staff by utilising your excellent negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ideally have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company.
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel.

What’s on Offer?
£37,000 per year + benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank and public holidays.
