Workday Data Lead

We are currently looking for a Workday Data Lead to support our client's consistent business growth.

They currently use several HR & Finance systems with their HR systems holding a lot of employee data.

This includes employee benefits, policies, expenses.

The details are different in each location, making the data landscape very complicated.

They now need to move all of this legacy data to Workday for both HR & Finance to create one single source of the truth.

The Data Lead will be responsible for the strategy and delivery of this workstream, including leading on integration with key systems.

The data lead will be responsible for defining the data strategy and it's delivery in the run-up to moving to Production and Go-Live.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Identifying source data that could potentially be extracted and migrated to Workday

  • Act as a single point of contact for all SI data related activity

  • Manage migration from source to target.

  • Build any extract and transform functions.

  • Build any extract transform environments (e.g.

    staging databases) - Excel is often not fit for purpose.

  • Extract and transformation of any data that is hosted or supported internally

  • Schedule extract, transform and loads (with or without SI depending on implementation model)

  • Manage data issues through to resolution

  • Responsible for the migration strategy document that will include
