Registered Mental Health Nurse

SCS are currently recruiting for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to work in a medium secure forensic hospital in York.

The hospital has 112 beds and cares for patients with a variety of mental illnesses and learning disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a secure/forensic environment.
The role is 37.5 hours a week with a salary up to £34,000 per annum
On a daily basis the successful candidate will:
, Accurately assess, monitor and plan the care needs of the patients
, Provide 1:1 support
, Develop behavioural support plans
, Administer medications
, Maintain a professional and safe care environment
Essential requirements for the role:
, RMN Qualification (Preceptorships are accepted)
, Current NMC Registration
, Excellent communication skills in order to effectively develop relationships with patients
, Knowledge of NMC guidelines and practices
, Ability to be flexible and adapt their working style to be suitable for their environment
