Salary: £23,934 - £26,918 per annum plus excellent holidays and contributory pension scheme

Warwick SU is the focal point of campus life here at Warwick, a democratically-run organisation, a self-run, self-sustaining not for profit operation.

Warwick SU runs nightclub events, pubs, bars, restaurants and food outlets in order both to give the best social experience and to fund student activities including over 300 clubs and societies, education, campaigning and advice services.

What's the job?
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for the right person to be part of the team that leads and manages the Student Pub - the Dirty Duck - offering a first class food, drink and social experience to our over 25,000 students, staff and conference guests.

Working with a fantastically diverse group of staff, you will be specifically focusing on helping manage the operations and ensuring the continuing success of the Dirty Duck as the highest turnover outlet in the suite of operations.

With a fabulous food menu and consistently evolving drinks portfolio focussing on superb cask ales and premium spirits alongside other customer favourites, the Duck sees sales of over £1 million per annum split 60/40 food to drink and employs over 80 permanent and student staff.

Who you are:
The successful candidate will be an experienced operator with a history of managing or supervising in high food and drink volume, fast-paced bars, pubs, restaurants or venues.

With a background of managing or supporting a manager in developing and motivating large, diverse, teams you will be a self-motivated leader and outstanding team player with excellent communication, planning and organisation skills.

Your engaging personality will drive and imbed sensational service and standards across a wide team of permanent and student staff and your imagination, creativity and enthusiasm will be combined with high standards of customer care to continue to work with the commercial operations management to maintain and develop the customer experience, range and activity on offer.
