About the Company

Our client is a large manufacturing company in Pakenham.

The company's products are nationally recognised producing over 300 different sweet and savoury products that are sold throughout grocery and convenience stores as well as foodservice distributors who supply cafes, stadiums, caterers, schools, restaurants, hotels, clubs and even overseas markets.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Night Shift Production Manager to be responsible for the operation of the shift, determine efficiency improvements and preventative maintenance as well as provide leadership to staff to achieve the required safety, quality and production performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing a large team of production workers.

  • Driving growth, continuous improvement, high performance Assistance with recruitment for your shift

  • Monitoring and maintaining quality of products to set benchmarks.

  • Identifying production constraints and improving productivity and efficiency.

  • A working knowledge of ISO standards and HACCP is desirable

Skills and Experience

  • Have previously been in a managerial role with direct reports

  • Experience within production/manufacturing (Food Manufacturing desirable)

  • Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives through implementing strategies

  • Experience with leading and engaging a team, with the capability to create a collaborative and positive working environment

  • Experience working in a HACCP environment and/or management of a HACCP system will be highly regarded.

  • Ensuring products are manufactured according to specification

  • Perform manufacturing capability trials for new products or raw materials and keep adequate records

  • Demonstrated ability to drive a Safety culture with an Environmental and Quality focus
