Parts Advisor


The Role


Providing comprehensive parts sales, advice and support to service and customers promoting parts sales both in the Branch and externally.

To increase Branch parts sales and profitability, increase the customer base and maintain relationships with existing customers



  • Working within the sales team on sales of product promotions by answering telephone queries and dealing with electronic queries

  • To ensure parts purchase, parts sales and profit margin targets are achieved

  • To ensure that all customers and internal parts needs are dealt with promptly and courteously responding immediately to requests for parts

  • To promote parts sales and maintain the customer database, reviewing lost sales, lapsed customers and dormant customers

  • To conduct customer visits to increase the customer base and maintain relationships with existing customers

  • To be continuously and consistently conscious of customer needs providing at all times the highest level of courtesy and service, and promote customer satisfaction and dealership CXI rating

  • To ensure that parts are correctly checked against delivery notes and that they are binned accordingly before the delivery note is signed

  • To ensure that all exchange and warranty units returned to the parts department are prepared and returned in the prescribed manner


Skills & Experience


To be considered for the position, you should have the following:



  • A basic knowledge of the truck / automotive industry

  • Good analytical skills

  • Proactive approach in maintaining customer standards

  • Good telephone manner

  • Attention to detail

  • Problem solving skills

  • Organisational and administration skills


Hours



  • Monday to Friday 0800-1800

  • 1 in 3 Saturday morning 0800-1200 paid as overtime
