PSV Technician

Our client is a niche, independent PSV Company within the Nottinghamshire area looking for an experienced PSV Technician for their depot.


It is essential that applicants also understand the high standards of professionalism and safety that the company set.


PSV Technician


The Role:



  • As a PSV Mechanic you will be in sole charge of the workshop, and be responsible for prioritising the maintenance required on our mixed fleet of vehicles.

  • Duties will include carrying out regular service inspections and repairs on a wide range of manufacturer's buses.

  • You will be fault finding and carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension systems etc.

    also preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT.


Qualifications and Experience Required:



  • You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience as a PSV Mechanic.

  • A relevant qualification or apprenticeship would be an advantage but not essential if you are time served - City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.

  • Experience working on commercial vehicles such as Volvo, Scania, Mercedes Setra, MAN and Van Hool would be advantageous.

  • Own tools required.

  • A PSV licence would be advantageous, but not essential


Working Hours:



  • The general opening hours of the business are Monday to Friday 10am - 6pm, but some weekend and out of hours work may be required to suit the needs of the business.

    So flexibility will be key.
