Salary range: £39,378 - £44,317 per annum
Hours: 36.5 hours per week

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is a strategic authority working with partners to deliver a stronger West Midlands, with a focus on skills, innovation, transport, economic development and regeneration.

Individual Councils and Local Enterprise Partnerships will still deliver services and retain their identity but on the big decisions we will have the resources to work together.

This is an exciting time for the West Midlands - the Commonwealth Games will be here in 2022, the arrival of HS2 will help make us a world class business location and a new £350m housing deal aims to deliver 215,000 new homes by 2031.

About the Role
We are looking for a Project Accountant to individually support the implementation of an exciting phase of Rail investment across the West Midlands.

The investment will leave a lasting legacy for the people of the West Midlands, harnessing the benefits HS2 to create a truly integrated, world class public transport network.

The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant who can demonstrate a strong track record of working autonomously within a project based environment, adding value to the project team dynamic and actively facilitating delivery.

You be able to take a strategic view whilst also controlling the overall position on costs and funding, ensuring accurate and timely reporting into governance structures and project sponsors.

You will have a strong commercial acumen which will enable you develop the case for investment and contribute towards the development of solutions to ensure WMCA realise the maximum commercial return from its investment, thus guaranteeing the value to the public purse.
