One of our clients are currently looking for a Service Manager for one of their residential services.

This is an amazing opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic manager looking for a challenging new role and someone who thrives for success! Reporting into the Registered Manager, you will work alongside them to ensure the needs of the service users, both physically and emotionally are met, providing the highest quality of service.

Whilst also ensuring CQC requirements are met.

The unit itself is a small residential service for adults with learning disabilities, including autism and ADHD.

Some with complex needs requiring a higher level of support.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a team whilst still providing hands on care, and be able to manage time effectively, allocate tasks and workloads, and monitor staff members' performance.

Duties include but not restricted too;

  • Maintain a person centered, flexible and personalized service that promotes privacy, dignity, independence and preferences of clients

  • Ensuring that the team of support staff are promoting independent living

  • Ensuring safe practice guidelines are followed and safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to

  • Liaising with outside services or family members regarding the wellbeing of the residents

  • Promote adequate supervision and care of service users taking steps to ensure that all service users are helped to retain their individuality and dignity

  • Monitor and implement the care plans of the service users with their planned and delivered care

We are looking for someone with the following experience;

  • Level 5 QCF in care or equivalent/or be willing to work towards this

  • Experience of working with adults children with physical and learning disabilities

  • Experience within a managing a team and monitoring performance

  • Knowledge of healthcare procedures, creating and implementing care plans and thorough understanding of risk assessment

  • Experience of developing staff rotas', support plans and risk assessments using IT equipment and software packages.

  • Willing to work a variety of shift patterns, including days, nights and bank holidays

The salary for the role is circa £26,000 plus additional bonus
